#Rethink: The Lawgiver has become in us the Law keeper. 

Text: Romans 8:1-8

Dear friend, 

People who hate the law are people who have tried and failed severally in keeping the law. 

Unless the Lord writes His commandments in our hearts, we cannot keep them. 

Before you think any further about what this is all about, permit me to say some hard truth; 

The Law is the same, it hasn't changed and it will not change. There are no new laws different from the ones given to Moses at the mountain. 

The law called the law of the Spirit and life is no different from the Law called the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2)

The law is the same but works differently in the hands of men. In the hand of a man who is in Christ Jesus and who is lead by the Spirit, the law is Spirit and Life. But in the hand of a man who is in the Flesh and is lead by the Sinful nature, the law becomes the law of sin and death.

It's not about the law being difficult or not to keep, it is about the man and where he stands.

Because the law wasn't given by the flesh, it cannot be kept by the flesh. 

Romans 8:3 says the law is weakened by the flesh.

The Law is not bad. Its requirements are righteous. And those righteous requirements can be fulfilled in us because it has been fulfilled in Christ Jesus.

Don't hate the law, hate the flesh. It is the flesh that is responsible for our breaking of the law, for our rising and falling & and for our feeling of condemnation. 

Allow yourself to be lead by the Spirit of God that now lives in you and the righteousness of the Law would be fulfilled in you.
