𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝,
It has become very obvious that a lot of people today, especially young people want to get something done. We do not want to be seen as lazy or nonchalant, so we get our hands into a lot trying to make things work by effort.
𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐫.
Permit me to share my story with you. I decided to study about Jesus some weeks back (I must have told you that before), and I came across a verse that I believed has been responsible for my current season. I recently entered a season where a lot has got me overwhelmed, I don't have the strength to carry on. I remember waking up one morning and telling God I can't continue, I'm done. I do not have the energy to put in more effort...and if you dont help me we'll both be looking at each other.
I needed to hear His voice to comfort me or something that would keep me going, but there was nothing.
I couldn't really pray anymore because I needed it and I was tired of the fight, the hard work, the disciplines, and everything that would make things work for me.
This morning I was reminded of a verse I read in John during my study and that's what I'm sharing with you today.
God's work is done by God alone.
It is quite easy to say but difficult to understand.
It all starts with the Father dwelling in you (salvation), then it gets to the place where your words are His words, then He begins to do His works through you. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠.
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤, 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐠𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝.
Think about the words you have been saying. Are they His words??
And finally, tell yourself that only God can help you do His works. His works are good.
