Psalm 119:105
𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅,
I have made several mistakes in life simply because I did not find clarity before making a decision. I came to understand that the same light that gives a man sight is the same that lightens his path. If he obviously cannot see clearly, he is bound to take wrong steps. Nothing is wrong with making sure you find absolute clarity before taking a step or even thinking of raising a foot. I had a talk with my pastor a few weeks back on an issue, and he said, "𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞." That alone brought peace to my heart.
𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐲!
You see my friend, one of the very things that makes us take wrong steps is; "always being in a hurry". Naturally when a person is in a hurry he/she forgets something behind, misses a step and stumbles or is careless about a lot (if they are dressed properly or have their hair brushed) or get things wrong. Life too can play out that way.
𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡.
So the same light that gives sight and clarity is also supposed to lighten our path. Most times we just do not wait for our paths to be lightened, we just jump in and by taking we often take the wrong steps.
Jesus said to me this morning, "𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒆𝒆, 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚. 𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆, 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒕, 𝒏𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒚𝒆."
This is where a lot of us miss it. Light comes and now we can see even though not clearly, but we do not stay until the light makes things clear and ultimately instructs our feet on what step to take.
𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭, 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
A lot of us have made mistakes not because we didn't see clearly, but because we did not wait for an instruction on how to go. We could not wait for the light that gave us sight to become a lamp for your feet and a light for our path. We did not wait for the light that opened our eyes to show us the path to take. We did not wait for the light to instruct us every step along the way.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬, 𝐧𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐞, 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐬.
Light has come!!!
Shalom
