John 14:1-5

Dear friend,

A lot has been on my mind lately, especially things that have to do with the future. Knowing what step to take so I don't get things wrong and later wish I was given another chance to get them right. One question settled in my heart when I picked a scripture to exercise my mind on instead of worrying about what was right and what may be wrong. The question was, "𝑰𝒇 𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒐 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝑰 𝒅𝒐 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒚?" Think about that for yourself also.

I believe John 14:1-5 was obviously talking about the kingdom of heaven, but permit me to share this the way I saw it the morning.

Jesus has always been in the business of preparing places for those he loves. However it is really sad that those He loves don't often end up at the place prepared for us. We sometimes end up at an unprepared place and spend our entire life trying to repair a place instead of walking into a place prepared.

If Jesus isn't leading into a place, He didn't prepare the place. Before you go into anything (a business, a job, a contract, a marriage, a school or an apartment), be sure Jesus has actually prepared that place for you, else you'll spend the whole time trying to repair what was supposed to be prepared.

𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞: 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥. 𝐀𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Because Jesus is always ahead, he is the only one that can prepare the future before we arrive there. If there is someone to entrust your future to and be sure you'll meet it prepared, it is Jesus. Simply because he has the power to keep everything given to Him.

Jesus is the only way that leads to a prepared place. If we take the journey through Him, there's no doubt that we would all arrive at a job prepared for us, a table prepared for us, a marriage prepared for us, a home, a business, a company, a law firm, a house, everything prepared for us. Only journey through Jesus.

On Thursday, I'll share with you some reasons why we end up at an unprepared place.

Shalom
