JUST WHAT I NEEDED

Dear friend,

We only find God's grace in areas He has called us to function in. _I like to define grace as the part God plays in everything he has called us to._ So it is absolutely out of place to trust God to play His part in what He never called us into. One very reason why we may think there isn't grace for this assignment may simply be because we are out of place-we are not doing what he has called us to do.

So just to continue what we started on Monday, I strongly believe that, just as much as we cannot have everything, we also cannot be everywhere, say everything, eat everything, wear everything, watch everything, choose everything, love everything, hate everything, friend everyone, use everything, and most importantly,

2. You cannot do everything.

Coming from someone who tried doing everything himself, I believe you should take this point seriously. I never believed in asking for help more than once. So I made an effort to do things myself and not bother anyone. But I came to see that it doesn't really matter how good you are or get along the way, learn to trust other people with certain tasks. Let us look at it this way; you cannot be your doctor, mechanic, nurse, carpenter or plumber all at the same time. So if we don't try to be all of these at the same time, why do we try to do more than we have been graced for?

The real problem is not that you cannot do everything if you put your mind to it, No. The real problem is that your energy would be divided into things you should have no business doing in the first place, and the only thing you are supposed to put all your energy into just gets just a little of your energy.

Also, we need to learn to set goals. Personally I am learning and trying hard to set goals, not necessarily long term goals but daily goals. The very reason why it seems as though the day goes by without us achieving anything of what we wanted is because we failed in setting step by step goals.

Trying to do everything all at once does not work so well.
There's one thing we can't be, one thing we can't do, one thing we can't have and one thing we can't become. That one thing is everything!
Picking one, getting it done and going over to the other is quite an easy and interesting way to help you do just what you need to do in a day. It also works weekly, monthly and yearly. Let's give it a try!

Shalom.

    1. Yes it is okay. But always understand that depth is more important than width. You'll have to have depth in at least one. Become extremely good at it, then others can be something you do for fun not exactly what you major in. For example, Bishop TD Jake's is a preacher, but also a movie director, author and a lot more...but when I call his name you first think of him as a preacher, then an author...it's simply because he has taken longer time to build depth in preaching.
