Dear friend,

   Everybody can benefit from having good problem solving skills as we all encounter problems on a daily basis. It's not just enough to be able to handle your problems, because life doesn't throw them at you alone, we also need to be able to help others out of theirs. Some of these problems are obviously more severe or complex than others. But all problems can be solved because they all have solutions. So we would take out a few days, just to talk about our problems and proffer solutions to them. How's that?

It would be wonderful to have the ability to solve all problems efficiently and in a timely fashion without difficulty, isn't it? Unfortunately, there is no one way in which all problems can be solved. You would have to really understand a problem to be able to solve it. Certain questions should be asked and answered truthfully, to help you out of any problem. I recently discovered that some problems dose not need to be solved, because they come as solutions to bigger problems.

You will discover, as you read through our online class materials on problem solving, that problem solving is more easy than you think and for each problem you solve, it makes you better and able to help others.

But however well prepared we are for problem solving, there is always an element of the unknown that often leaves us without a clue on what to do. Although planning and structuring will help make the problem solving process more likely to be successful, good judgement will ultimately determine whether problem solving was a success.
