#Tell The story
_everyone has a story to tell
Key passage: Psalm 78:4
We will not hide them from our descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.
Dear friend,
It's very important that you don't forget what God has done or taught in the past simply because the now isn't looking so good. God never wants us to ever forget what he has done because it helps us see what he can do and is willing to do for us. We celebrate Christ's birth today with songs and food, and party everywhere, but it's totally useless if we only remember his birth and not the life he lived unto the cross. I believe Jesus would be glad and the world would be a better place if Christians would celebrate the life He lived as much as we celebrate His birth.
You see my friend, Jesus didn't come to be given birth to and that's all, no! It was only neccessary that he had to be given birth to like every other man, to be fully a man. He came to call us to a life in him, but first he showed us how to live the life he has called us to. *So if we only keep celebrating his birth and not the life, we will only be Christians on Christmas day.* After Christmas what's next? After his birth what is next?
*Don't loose your mind*
Your ability to remember, and by the help of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God that we ought to use wisely. For everything you rememeber that God has done, bless His name. You can't talk about what you can't remember. But more interestingly, you can also choice what to remember. So like I said earlier, too many Christians only remember that they are Christians on christmas day and few days into the new year. Scripture taught us that we can forgive and choose to forget, then it implies that for everything that happens we choose to either remember or to forget. It is very easy to remember and talk about his birth because everyone is doing that, but what makes you different is the life you remember, reflect on and live.
I believe in the coming year, your ability to go through it lies in your mind. What you think about yourself and most importantly what you can remember about Jesus. Think of the life he lived, the things he said, the way he responded to difficult situation, the way he loved, the way he talked...remember not just his birth but the life lived.
*Look out for good stories*
In every story heard (bad or good) there's always something good to go home with, and it mostly depends on how you look. Because what you see is tied to how you look at it. Some of the things you are trusting God for, you'll see him do it for another person but you must understand that, the fact He did it for someone doesn't mean He loves you any less or whatever the enemy puts in your mind. No, it simply means He can do the same and even more for you, so celebrate others. If your story isn't looking good, go out and look for stories of people who went through thesame and had a beautiful end. Look for the story of how they went through it and not just how it started and how it ended. Learn from the journey.
