_pay off your debt

Key passage: Romans 13:8

Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor [who practices loving others] has fulfilled the Law [relating to one’s fellowmen, meeting all its requirements].

Dear friend, 

In my previous letter to you I made you see how it's very important for you to loose control to God, especially in the area of your finances. This week, if you loose control to God then He will fix all that needs to be fixed, and I see Him starting with your finances. Owing someone without the ability to pay back is not a good place to be -ask someone who has been in that place before. 

What is a debt? 

An action, state of mind, or object one has an obligation to perform for another, adopt toward another, or give to another. Money that one person or entity owes or is required to pay to another, generally as a result of a loan or other financial transaction. _In simple terms, you are indebted to whoever you owe._ 

But you see, a debt doesn't only reflect as money owed, it also can be an action not done, or an obligation to perform or give to another. Maybe, just maybe you don't owe money but are you in debt of loving? That neighbour, relative, friend, son, daughter, father, colleague...have you given them the love you have received (from God) not necessarily from them? 

*Do you owe money?*

I really believe if you own the money you should not owe the money. You shouldn't be in debt if you have the money.  Why borrow what you have? Or why owe when you have the money to pay? The very common reason people collects loans is because they don't have that amount, and probably need it to invest, solve a problem at hand, start up a new business or pay up for something. 

But I think it's not wise to go into another debt to clear a debt. Collecting money from another to pay another. Business folk would say you can't do business without owing. But it's very important that as a business person ensure that you pay up everything you owe at the time given. It will help your business. 

*You are at the mercy of the one you owe (Pro22:7 & 2Kings 4:1)*

To be in debt is not a good play for anyone to be. Your mind and entire being are always conscious of the fact that someone out there many come for you at anytime. You suddenly start playing hide and seek because you can't pay off. It is not God's will that any of His own should live like that. Just like the Shunammite woman, you would need God's help to go out of any debt you are in. Quit trying to raise the money by yourself, you'll only keep going into more debt because you want to get out of this one. Quit worrying about what would happen if you don't pay off soon. *Let God take control. Loose control so God can take control.* Because as long as you are still in control God can't be in control- you and God can't be in control at the same time. God is going to clear your debt before the year runs out!! Just believe. 

*If God takes you out of debt, you'll need wisdom to stay out*

Being out is a good play to be, so just stay out. God has miraculously taken so many people out of a lot of debt but they always find their way back into it. Why? Wisdom is profitable to direct. If you must stay out of debt you need wisdom. And wisdom my friend is given, you only need to ask. Constantly pray for God's wisdom in every business deal, every new venture, every step you may want to take. *You need to know that you don't always need to borrow to get money. Money can be raised*

If you don't have the money, raise it. All you need is time and the right people. Don't run off borrowing, you may not be able to pay back that amount when the time comes. Remember, it's easier to borrow than it is to pay back.
