Dear friend,
_Every cost you count you prepare for.

Key scripture: Luke 14:28
For which one of you,  when he wants to build a house, doesn't not 1st sit down and calculate the cost...?

One of man's biggest problem lies within his failure to take precaution. Everything coming hits him to the ground because he never saw it coming. If there is one thing that we must learn from God is His ability to finish a project before He starts it.

Everytime God finishes a project just before He starts it, He makes adequate room for every possible damage that may occur by man. That's precaution. That's the reason why He is never confused at the face of a problem, because he made room for it. If in the light of the damage, you immediately start thinking what to do then you were never cautious, and you didn't take precaution.

People often say never expect evil to happen to you only good. Great! But it doesn't mean you shouldn't prepare for the bad, so that at the face of it, you'd not be totally clueless. Everyday you wake you make room for the worse but expect the best. In counting the cost you prepare for the worse. And preparing for it implies proffering solutions.

All Joseph did in Egypt was to take a precautionary measure to prepare for the problem before it came. He thought it wise to save in the first seven years so we can have plenty in the next seven years of famine. Likewise, Daniel avoided the king's food as a precautionary measure.

*You are not ready to begin if you haven't taken precaution*

Every precaution pill is taken before hand. It's not medicine after death.

So how can you take precaution? I call them the 4-Ps

*1. Plan:* As simple and little as it may sound, planning very important in taking precaution. It gives you clear steps to take. I'm not just talking about planning a big project or a wedding or a child dedication, I'm talking about planning something as tiny as your everyday dealings. I'm learning to do so, even though I haven't gotten a hold of it yet. But I always make sure I have a picture of my day before I start it, then I write it down.

*2. Preparation:* Most of us only plan, we don't prepare. Preparation means getting all the necessary things you need to make your plan a success. For instance if I plan to read a certain amount of books a day,  and I'm someone who receive calls often or loves to chat. For me to achieve that, I'd most likely need to turn off my phone. Everything to plan; prepare! Get/do the necessary things you need to make your plan work.

*I know we can't totally avoid problems but we can prepare, hereby we are not taken by surprise.*

*3. Prayer:* Don't have a problem with me for putting prayer 3rd place. Prayer is the first thing we should always do, but the truth is we often leave out planing and preparation simply because we have prayed(that is laziness to me).  If you must pray then I strongly think you should also present your plan to the Lord. If you don't have a plan, then pray for one. Don't substitute planing and preparation with prayer and vise versa. God didn't give you a brain to just hang in there, use it!

*4. Premeditation:* Premeditation is not just planning, it's planning way ahead of time. But there's something premeditation does that made me add it to the list. Everytime you premeditate your mind gets ready for what is about to happen. *Premeditation gets your mind ready.* Your mind sees it too much and then you begin to believe it and see it as the normal.

*Your mind must be ready to go where you body is going*

Finally, *you can't avoid what you never saw coming*. And this four steps will open you up to prepare for things just before they happen.

Keep growing
