     #Attractiveness

Dear friend,
_everyone has what it takes to be attractive.

Key scripture : 1Peter 3:3-4
Your beauty should not come from outward adornments such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead is should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

The saying "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder," goes to say that defining beauty can be tough. However, God's words can lead us to discover what our individual meaning of beauty truly is and should be. God isn't so concerned with what you do to look beautiful (the braiding of hair or wearing of jewelry) as He with where your beauty comes from.

I believe this is the major controversy we have today.  People have a problem wearing jewelry and braiding of hair, especially because of this scriptural passage. Listen, the scripture isn't saying we should not do these things. It's simply saying our beauty shouldn't come from it. In other words, whether you do it or not shouldn't be the basis to judge if you are beautiful or not. We shouldn't feel less beautiful simply because we didn't braid our hair, had the best cloth, lived in a big house or more beautiful because we did. Nonetheless, our physical appearance should be attractive (if not so, that passage would not have talked about braided her, jewelry and fine clothes)

*Personal Attractiveness*
Everyone is personally responsible for he/her own attractiveness. No one is entitled to making you any more attractive than you decide to make yourself.

There are three areas of being attractive, namely:
1. Physical
2. Soulish
3. Spiritual

*Physical attractiveness*

Peter in our key passage wasn't focusing on the physical because he was talking about where your beauty should come from. You see man is first attracted to the physical (what appeals to his senses), that's why you can't be dealing with a man and don't bother about you physical appearance. So I strongly think being attractive physically is of high importance when dealing with man.

*Outward adornments attracts a man, Inward adornments attracts God, both attracts a man that is of God*

_Your personal hygiene should be properly taken care of to. Brush your teeth regularly, use body spray, bath regularly....and much more._

*Your beauty shouldn't come from your physical adornments*

To strike a balance to this;
Firstly : The moment a woman or a man can't do a particular function (for example, go to church or an occasion) just because he/she doesn't have the latest cloth, or hair or you think what you have is not good enough, then it most likely mean your beauty is just starting to come from your physical adornments.

Secondly: Modesty is key to being physically attractive. Your physical attractiveness should be done modestly. Avoiding being sexually suggestive.
