DO NOT SETTLE AT BEING CALLED...

Voice of Eden (episode 234)
Thur. 28th October 2021

Rethink: It is the one who is worthy that is chosen, and not the one who is called.

Text: Ephesians 4:1-6, Daniel 1:1-7, Matthew 22:14, Revelation 5:1-14

Dear friend,

As I bring this to a close, I must help you understand what it means to be called and what it also means to be chosen.

Remember I told you, "it is the man who makes the most of the reason why he was called that is chosen.

To be called means to be beckoned or summoned. And the reason for most calls is selection. That is to say, you were summoned because you were selected.

To be chosen means to be elected, picked, or appointed. And the reason for most appointments is value/merit.

Daniel and his friends proved worthy of their calling (the reason why they were summoned or called), and at the end of the 3rd year, they were chosen/appointed. ~Daniel 1:1-21

The fact you were beckoned doesn't mean you have been appointed. And this is because the criteria for being called and being chosen are different.

Matthew 22:14 isn't a scripture of numbers but criteria. The reason you have been called is not the reason you would be chosen.

Revelation 5:1-14 makes it clear that it is the one who is worthy that is chosen and not the one who answered the call or who was called.

What have you been called to do?

What you have been called to do is what you will be chosen to do. Only walk worthy of your call.

How can I walk worthy of my calling?
1. In all humility
2. In gentleness
3. In patience
4. In love
5. In peace
~Ephesians 4:1-6

Finally dear friend, everything Jesus came to the earth to do was to live a life worthy of His calling. Even Jesus had to be worthy to be chosen. He wasn't chosen because He was the son of God, He was chosen because He was Worthy!!
