DO NOT SETTLE AT BEING CALLED, UPGRADE TO BEING CHOSEN.

Rethink: Do not settle at being called, upgrade to being chosen.

Text: Ephesians 4:1-6, Daniel 1:1-7, Matthew 22:14

Dear friend,

How many times have you been called up for a job, and in the end, you weren't chosen for that job?

There is a good feeling that comes from the fact that you were called and even recognized, but a lot of us settle there.

Have you ever asked yourself, "why do I get called upon but never chosen to do what I was called for?"

Questions like;
"Why wasn't I selected?"
"What don't I have?"
"What did I say or do wrong?" Should suddenly begin to rise in your mind.

Sometimes we go as far as saying "it's not the will of God, and I believe God has better things for me," just so we can cover up what is clearly a character problem.

To be called is by grace but to be chosen is by merit.

So many of you won't agree with the statement I just made, but it doesn't change the fact that it is true.

The reward of being chosen is given to a man who took not for granted the grace of being called.

In other words, except you live a life worthy of your calling/vocation, you will never be chosen for anything (not even what you have been called to do).

Today I want to challenge you to go beyond being called and invest in yourself enough to be chosen.

If 10 producers called for a job will they choose you?
If 10 beakers are called for a job, what's the possibility that you'd be chosen?
If I request a good programmer, designer, engineer, teacher, or carpenter, will I choose you?

Think about it!
