𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝,

Isn't it so clear that Hannah's prayer sounded like God had lost sight of her and had forgotten about her?

How often do we find ourselves in Hannah's place?

Are you in that place right now where it feels like you have no one who understands how you feel and what you need?

How often do you find yourself in a place of pain where it seems as though God is not paying so much attention to you because He is busy handling other people's matters and has left you without care?

I have good news for you; God does not forget.

We mostly think God has forgotten about us because:

1. He does not work with our time. (So learn to wait on Him)

2. He is more interested in making us than in giving us. (So learn to enjoy the process)

3. He is patient and we aren't. (So learn to be patient)

4. We are busy observing what is happening around us alone. (So learn to focus on God alone)

5. We fail to give thanks always. (So learn to thank Him for what He has done as you trust Him to do what He has promised)

6. Our sins have been a hindrance to our prayer. (So learn to always receive his forgiveness and his grace to live above sin)

Hannah's story is one that we can all relate to, especially if we have waited on God for something and don't seem to receive it.

Here are a few lessons I want to share with you from the verse we read:

1. God deals with us differently, so don't think He has forgotten about you because you haven't received what you prayed for.

2. God looks at our motives before He chooses to bless us. We can't pray for a blessing with a bad motive and expect God to come through for us.

3. Every answer from God is a blessing to us. The answer to hunger is food, the answer to death is life, the answer to sadness is joy, the answer to darkness is light and the answer to weakness is strength.

4. God gives us what we need, not what we think we need.

5. Do not focus so much on what you think you need that you become unable to see that God has already provided what you actually needed.
