Mark 8:22-26
𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅,
One of the most important roles of light is to bring not just sight but clarity - to clarify things, make them bright, bring them to the open, to illuminate and also free from feculent matter. Sometimes we think seeing is enough, so it doesn't really matter how well we see, we are just okay as long as we can see something. However, Jesus does not just want us to see anything, He wants us to see clearly, so our judgements and actions will be accurate.

The man's healing from our key scripture totally hinged on honesty. After Jesus had touched him, he was honest enough to say, "I now can see, but I see men as trees walking around." Think about this for a moment, what if that man had left Jesus rejoicing that he can now see, and saying, "it does not matter how I see, at least I am no longer blind"
𝐈𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐞!
Have you noticed that sometimes we expect everyone to see things just the way we do?
One of the very reasons we have conflicts is because we see differently and are unable or willing to see clearly. Some of us see men as trees, some as tools, some as animals, some with so much disrespect. Yet a few see men just as God sees them.
In another view, I think we are just too quick to leave a place/conversation/thought without having a full understanding or view of what we see. We fail to see that most times, what we see is never enough, so we must not just look from our eyes alone but also from the eye of the other person and as many eyes as we can get. A man who is always right in his eyes can only see from his own eye.

𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬:
1. Do not be quick to conclude on any matter.
2. Do not see from your eye alone.
3. What you see is not all there is to see.
Shalom
