THANKSGIVING: There is always something to be thankful to God for.

*Prayer of thanksgiving*

Dear friend,

There are a lot more to thank God for than we can see. We often allow the many things all happening at the same time keep us from rightly seeing how endlessly good Jesus has been to us. After writing to you about praying the right way, today, I want us in midst of our prayer of request to always begin with a prayer of thanksgiving. No matter how much you need right now, there is always something you have that is worth thanking God for, because without Him, we cannot receive anything good and perfect. It is quite true that we can receive things from man or even the enemy the devil, but if it must be good and perfect it can only come from God.

As I allow you reflect on what you have always had or have recently received that you have not been thankful for and must be thankful for, I will tell you what I and my family are thankful for. Listen friend, it does not have to be necessarily big in the eyes of everyone, if it is God's hand even in the little details of your life, it is big and it is worth saying thank you for.

After we made plans for my father's burial, things seemed so difficult settling all we needed to settle in the village where he was going to be buried. Simply because certain persons who were supposed to give a hand of help were not willing to help, and they felt things would not go quite well without their help. God without them, raised people who without a word...and I mean without a word, were not just willing but came all out to make sure things went well (without demanding anything it return). To cut it all short, during the burial day, the success was overwhelming to absolutely everyone who came, including us and those who helped us. I must admit that it was stressful, but our stress could not have produced the result we got. We got disappointed by the person who we were to rent canopies from, turned down on by family members, talked about, insulted... but Jesus showed up with help!!!!!!😊🤗 Hallelujah!

If you don't deliberately look for what to be grateful for, you will only find what not to be grateful for.

•Do not let what you don't have stop you from being grateful for what you have. 

•Do not let what you cannot see stop you from thanking God for what you can see.

•Do not let what you are scared of stop you from thanking God for what He has conquered for you.

•Do not let who walked out on you stop you from thanking God for who walked in.

•Do not let what you lost stop you from being grateful for what you gained.

•Do not let what did not happen stop you from thanking God for what happened; and vise versa

•Do not let where you haven't reach stop you from being grateful for where you are today.

•Do not let your weakness stop you from thanking God for strength.

•Do not let disappointments stop you from being grateful for divine appointments.

•Do not let "lack" stop you from thanking God for little supplies.

•Do not let yourself stop you from thanking God for others!!

Just find some reasons to be thankful!
