People need more than bread for their life, they must feed on every word of God.

Dear friend,

The truth is one thing an untransformed man never wants to hear. Nobody who loves sin or its fruits likes the truth. It is simply because the truth transforms anyone who knows it. Every thing changes the day you find out the truth about who you are, what you were sent here for and believe it. Needless to say, scripture made it so clear by saying knowing the truth sets a man free. What sets a man free is Knowing the truth; not hearing the truth. Simply because you cannot know anything if you don't first believe that thing. 

Believe only what is true.

The truth contains only what is true. 

Hearing it does not set anyone free, but believing it does. Spiritual growth is the process of replacing lies with truth. 

God's word is full of the truth. Joyce's Meyer puts it this way, "Anything that is not in agreement with God's word is a lie." It does not matter who teaches it or tries to convince you, if it is against the word of God, it is not the truth. 

The spirit of God uses the word of God to make us like the Son of God. We would all be unable to tell a lie from the truth if we do not spend time learning the truth. 

Some years ago a friend told me a story of how bank staff are being trained (I don't know how true is it but it is relevant to what I'm trying to explain today). So he said  one of the first thing they do is spend quality time studying and getting to know and identify real money. After that has been deliberately and thoroughly done, a neatly done counterfeit money is given to them just to tell if they can differentiate the lie from truth.

I believe in our world today we are battling with differentiating the lie from the truth. So many of us have never known the truth, because of how long we have believed a lie. We now think the truth is a lie and the lie is the truth

If you must know the truth about anything, look into God's word.

Do not worry about the lie flying everywhere. Before you take a step or believe anything, determine to first ask, "what does the Bible say?" 
God's word generates life, creates faith, produces change, causes miracles, heals hurts, frightens the devil, transforms circumstances, builds up, imparts joy, overcomes adversity, DEFEATS TEMPTATION, infuses hope, releases power, cleanses our minds, brings things into being and guarantee our future forever!!! We can not live in a world full of lies without the word of God. We should consider His word as essential to us as food. -Rick Warren
