       # Do It

_ You can't do what you don't first receive.

Philippians 4:9 KJV

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Dear friend, 

Most of the things we do are just a product of what we have leant, received (from somewhere), heard or seen another do. Everything we do often comes as a response to something or someone. No man has the ability to get up and do God's work or act on his own without any influence. We will always need God to do God's work, and the same is true for the devil (you'll need him to do his work). We all respond to either a hurt, a thought, a leading, a word, a lesson learnt, a principle, or maybe a pattern. The difference between what I do and what another chooses to do is in what we choose to respond to. And What we choose to respond to is a reflection of all we have learnt, received or seen another do. So one way to change the things you do is to change your orientation. 

Unlearn and relearn.

Some of the problem we have in our action is tied to the very thing we were taught. We should not learn certain things, because they become very difficult to unlearn. What we have been taught is the basis for what we do. Scripture in Matthew 24 first spoke about false teachers, and prophets before the actions of men (the wars and rumors of wars and love of many growing cold). So it's simply, the enemy can only penetrate the earth and alter man's action to the degree to which he imposes false teachings. He raises people to teach you wrong so you do wrong. 

Be very careful with what you learn and most especially who you learn it from. Only follow a man to the degree to which he follows Jesus. Any man you choose to follow, learn from or receive from must be a follower of Jesus. One thing we must be careful about in the last days, is deception. Question everything you see that doesn't look like Jesus, it doesn't matter where or who you see it in.

You can't do the word of God that you don't receive.

Receive it first, then you can do it. Because the power to do is in the word spoken. Sometimes we ignore it absolutely and we don't agree with it, because we feel it's too much for any man to keep up with, so we look for ways to justify the wrong we do. We saying words like, "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak", or" I'm just a man...." You will never be able to do the things you don't first receive. 

We must first accept that the word is right and we are wrong in other to be able to live right by doing right. Nobody hasn't fallen short of the glory of God and his standard, but some of us knew that that was God's standard and we began trusting Him for grace to live by His standards. Don't run or ignore the word because you feel you can't do it.
