DO IT 2: Waiting doesn't help you do it better.

_ You can't do what you don't first receive.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Dear friend,

You can't calm to believe a word that you don't obey. Your action is a proof that you believe. So many times the word of God comes in a capacity bigger than us, and it would take the help of someone with such capacity (God) to fully act on it. I keep saying, it take God to do God's work. No man in his own capacity can do the things God requires of us. There are certain things God may have laid in you heart to do, just do it, dont debate why you shouldn't or why you can't or why it's not important to do it. Remember that no matter how small it may be - being a good husband, spending more time with family and God, eating healthy, apologizing first, being humble and so on - you need Him to help you.

You find peace in total obedience.

There is so much peace thats comes with just knowing you are doing what you have been asked to do, even when things aren't looking so good. Just being in the path of total obedience has its own peace tagged just for you. Every time you read the word, it is meant to provoke an action in you, and that action has the backing of the God of peace. Also remember in my previous letter to you, I said every action is triggered or influence by someone or something...if I lack peace then it clearly tells me that I may not be on the right path, or may action doesn't have the backing of the God of peace. Simply because obedience to God comes with the peace of God. So my friend, this may just be the reason why you don't have peace in that job, relationship or that place.

Every word you read requires a response from you. Dont wait until it feels convenient or you feel like responding, you may never get there, just receive and act on it. Because you can only respond to it to the degree to which you receive the word. You can't do the word you don't  first receive. So many times we know the word is right and we are wrong but we don't accept it. We find possible reasons to justify our actions. We only want to do what is convenient. With such attitude we would never arrive at a point where we would be seen as doers of the word. No matter how difficult it looks, we must receive it to be able to live by it. 

Love what is true.

Don't let yourself develop itchy ears, because if you do, you won't be able to receive correction and rebuke, only praise. You won't be open to learn, and you'll only hear what you want to hear not what you need to hear. We must learn to love the truth. 

I know the truth mostly times isn't so sweet to take in, but we all need it to live right. Stay close to people who would tell you the truth in love. Just make sure everything you learn, receive, hear and see is found in the truth.
