TAKE THE PATH 2: Don't be afraid to take the journey

_ No journey is without it's own path

Key scripture: Isaiah 30:21

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left

Dear friend, 

Most times we sit and just do nothing because we wait for God to tell us what to do. So you discover that for a long time we have done nothing simply because "we are waiting on God". There's nothing wrong in waiting on God, only that waiting in this context is active not passive. Young people do nothing all because we are waiting on God to show us what we were born to do. We would as well wait all our lives if that's what waiting really is. I learnt from scriptures that God's voice as a direction often comes as a confirmation. You have to set out to do something, it's in the setting out that God will often send a word saying if this is it or not (there are some exceptions).

*God can only pilot a moving airplane*

As a young person, there's no time to sit and do nothing. Every time you waste siting and waiting, is a time you would have invested in trying something. I told a friend, "don't sit back doing nothing and just praying, get up after you have prayed and do what you believe in your heart is right, if it is not what the Lord would have you do He'll tell you as you move. That's how you wait." The truth is, if what you did by faith is not "it", then it will be what will lead to "it". ("it" means what you should be doing)

 From our key scripture, Isaiah said you'll hear a word behind you saying, this is the way...when you turn to the right and when you turn to the left. It simply means you were moving forward for the voice to be behind. And then if you look at the passage closely, you'll be amazed to find out that the voice came after the turn was talken. You'll hear a voice saying this is or this isn't the way when ye turn to the left or to the right. God won't let you get missing, just keep moving.

*The open door is in the path*

So many of us are not willing to travel the path but we want an open door. We want a big business, a record label, a great marriage or you just name it. But we are not willing to stay and work on the current relationship or business that we have. We are not willing to take steps of faith. We are not willing to start something because we are afraid that it will fail. We are waiting for a voice from heaven to come down and say it is Amina, or it is this business or it is this company or organization, then we can now submit an application. 

*The path is never clear*

As you keep moving things get clearer and clearer. You can't stay in your waiting sit expecting to see everything clearly before you set out. If you do, you'll never set out. That's what Faith is all about; taking a step and expecting God to direct you even when you are not sure. One thing I'm certain about, is that God will never let you walk in the wrong path. He will always tell you if this is or this isn't. 

But he can't do that if you don't step out. If you don't submit applications the right company will not get yours, if you don't step out in the morning the job will not find you in your room. If you don't move and take  turns, the voice would not be necessary.
