_pay off your debt

Key passage: Romans 13:8

Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor [who practices loving others] has fulfilled the Law [relating to one’s fellowmen, meeting all its requirements].

Dear friend, 

It will amaze you to find out the number of people that are in debt today. People who can not move around freely because someone is looking for them. Funny right? But it's so true. Until you are set free from a great debt, you won't realize how sweet it is to be debt free. A bank loan, money collected from a friend, or maybe he/she buys something and doesn't pay immediately. It is really sad to find out that people are slowly entering into great debts that their children will have to pay for. But you see my friend, money is not the only medium for which we go into debt. 

There are certain gestures done to, for or by us that must be repaid. If you hurt someone kindly apologize, don't let it go without settling it, if you hate someone, please start loving them, if you cheated someone please go and make amends...because it may come looking for you later in future. We'll spend a little time to look at some other debts that must be paid so we can enjoy a free life. But we must all learn never to leave a debt unpaid, else something worth more than you owe will be taken from you. No matter how little or big, every debt must he paid. 

*Jesus paid our debt in full*

It's possible to enjoy a life free from sin and it's guilt, by reason of the blood of Jesus. Sin today is man's major debt, but it shouldn't be, because it has been paid for. Everything we are meant to suffer for reason of our sin, has been paid for on the cross. It is said that when sin is fully grown it gives birth to death (James 1:15). One man paid that debt so every man may have life. See Eph 1:7 & Rom 6:23. Death is the ultimate price for sin...if that has been paid there's nothing else that the enemy has the right to take from you as a payment for your sin. He has no right to keep you barren because you sinned, or to keep you guilty and depressed because you sinned, he has not right to keep you sick because you sinned. Everyone of us would need to fully know that the blood of Christ is the ultimate price and it reaches to everyone. Take hold of the blood. 

Before the price as paid by the shed blood, the enemy has every right to take whatever belongs to us because we sinned,  Just as in 2Kings 4:1, the man was ready to take the widows two sons because of what her late husband owed, but not after the oil was poured. *Don't be set free and still live in bondage.* Don't be afraid of the one you owed even after your debt has been  cleared. 

*Every act done makes you a debtor or a creditor.*

Every act of love makes you a creditor. People are always paying you with the kindness, goodness, care or forgiveness you gave them. But every act done without love makes you a debtor. You now owe love. And until you start loving the one you been wicked to, unforgiving to, keeping record of wrongs done or not showing some much love to, you are indebted to them. Everyone deserved to be loved, and if you don't give them love, you owe it to them.
