Dear friend,
_don't get tired of asking the right questions.
Key scripture: Luke 9:45
But they did not understand what this meant. It was hidden from them so that they did not grasp it, and they were afraid to ask Him about it.
How many times have you misunderstood someone or left with no understanding at all simply because you failed to ask, "what do you mean?" Jesus on many occasions have had to explain himself further to his disciples not because they asked but he saw that they lacked understanding.
*Your first response to lack of knowledge is to ask questions*
If you must grow from knowledge to understanding, you must learn to ask. If you must also grow from understanding to wisdom you must learn to ask. Scripture puts it this way, "if any lack wisdom let him ask..."
One beautiful thing about children is their ability to ask so many questions. You literally get tired of them asking. That's exactly where God wants us all to get to as His children. That for every thing we need or don't understand, we'd be quick to ask Him. Unlike our earthly parents, He's never worn out with us asking.
*How much do you think you know?*
The disciples may not have wanted Jesus to know that they didn't know what he just said, so they didn't ask.
Just like them, we often hide in that mask off, "I know" and fail to admit that we truly need to know. Not because we know but because we think what will people think of me if they find out I don't know this?
Jesus said, "everything the Father taught me, I have made know to you," but I believe not everything He has made know to us is known by us, because we have not come to the point where we ask for more understanding. We are okay with the little we know and always fail you admit that we need to know more.
*When you ask it's given; when you seek you find*
These are two absolutely different ways of having what you desire. Seeking takes more effort than asking. *One of the very reason why we find it hard to ask is because of pride. Asking it's so easy and that's the main reason why we miss it.*
One of the easiest way to knowing, is asking. It's so simple that's why we despise it.
*A better way to ask*
There's a better way to ask the Father.... It's in Jesus name. It's just like writing down your request/question and below it you have the name of Jesus written. So the question is your but technically, it's him asking.
Starting or ending a prayer by saying, "In Jesus name" doesn't mean you prayed in His name. There was no record of that ever in the bible. I'll tell you what it means to pray in his name.
According to John 14:12-14, Jesus is obligated to answer "any" and "every" prayer done in his name. So it's means the prayer you prayed that was not answer, even though you said in the name of Jesus, was not done in his name.
*God has no business answering you if what you have asked for is in your name*
Isaiah 43 says He has called us by His name...meaning the day you were called, you lost your identity, it is christ that lives, no longer I. And so if we must ask, we must ask in that name which we have been called. That is to say, if what you are asking for is for your own interest and benefit ,then you can as well look for the answer somewhere else..... _I'll explain further on the show_
In summary:
*God will not do anything you ask for that the name Jesus isn't written on the request and isn't focus and that doesnt bring glory to the Father.*
If you must ask the father...ask in Jesus name!
