Dear friend,
_ beauty is first in the eyes of the behold.
At the course of the week, I got to understand that beauty is not just in the eyes of the beholder (as we popularly say), but first in the eyes of the behold. You are only as beautiful as you see yourself fit to be. Everyone is personally responsible for his/her own attractiveness. If you can't first see yourself as beautiful and invest time to show that beauty, it would only take a little time and no one will.
*Beauty is attractive*
Whatever is beautiful attracts only something/someone who believes it is. People are drawn towards what is beautiful or appealing to them than what is not. _So in other for you to be attractive, you must be beautiful_. *The things or people you attract is a clear indication of the beauty you displace (outward or inward) .* So I really think the major concept of being attractive has been misplaced not lost. Because almost everything we do is just so we can be attractive but we spend so much time and money only to look attractive in one area (outside) and the forget about the other (inside). Let me explain it this way, "Where you spend more time making beautiful tells who you want to attract - God or man. If you care a little less about God than man, you will obviously spent more time only to look attractive outward than inward." Inward is not just a man's spirit but also his soul. But your beauty shouldn't come from your soul either, but your spirit!
*Soulish attractiveness*
Not everyone has a good emotional system. Yeah! I said emotional system. And our emotions or feelings can't be always stable so we can't let our beauty come from there. Sometimes what we call spiritual is only emotional. We suddenly don't feel like talking, suddenly we don't feel like eating, now we are smiling and all happy the next minute we become moody and separated just because we feel like it. Our lives can't be controlled by unstable emotions. And most times spiritual folks says it's the move of the Spirit which is not true. *We must learn to be emotional beautiful!!* You may not be responsible for the emotional switches, but you can decide not to follow the feelings.
*Our thoughts should be attractive*. The scripture puts it this way, "Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, if anything is excellent or praise worthy think about such things"(Phil4:8). How? you may ask. (1cor 10:5) Casting down imaginations and everything that sets itself against the knowledge of God, and taking captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. That's how. Not everything that comes to your head should be given room to stay.
*Spiritual attractiveness*
Let me close by saying this. Before you leave the house each day, don't just dress your body, dress your spirit also. Put on love, joy, patience, kindness, peace, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Just as it take time and effort to look good outwardly, it even take longer time to look good inwardly. Invest that time.
The fruit of the Spirit makes you look beautiful. Your beauty should come from there, because it's of great worth in God's sight.
The beauty that comes from within is unfading.
