    #I choose you!
Continuation

Dear friend,
_the choice you don't make won't be made.

This is totally different from anything you may have heard before. It's different from what you imagined. Simple, yet not properly understood. Your life only moves in the direction of the choices you have made. The choice you don't make (for yourself) will not be made. Anytime you get to a point in life, it is always demanded of you to make a choice, and if we fail to make that choice, it remains that way (not made by anyone) until you finally decide to make it. One of the very reason our lives may look like we are stagnant is not necessary because we have failed to make the right choices but because we have made no choice at all.

People may think it's better not to choose than to choose wrong(well, true in some cases), but it's the same difference. Not making any choice can be as terrible or even more terrible than making the wrong choice. What have you delayed making a choice on? If you don't make the choice it will remain unmade.

*Know what is right, not just for you but for your neighbor*

Sometimes the choices we make are not just for us or directly related to us alone. It affects the very people related to us. For Nigeria, you may decide to choose a leader based on your own personal benefit, or not to choose at all, forgetting that they people to come after you(your children and theirs) will most definitely live by that choice you made 10 years ago or did not make.

Everything you choose comes with it all that it has. You don't get just the part you desire from the choices you make, you get the full package. *So before you make a choice look beyond yourself; know what is right. What are the benefits? How does it affect the people after me? How does it affect me? Good or bad? Selfish or selfless?*

*You can only Choose what is right if you Know what is right*

I see a lot of people are not so concerned about knowing what is right as they are about choosing what is right. But you can only choose right if you know right. So we should be so much concerned about knowing what is right first then we can then trust God to help us choose that right thing we now know. Because I clearly believe that the very reason we make wrong choice is because we often act from a point of ignorance.

If we can be properly educated we would be expected to choose right. Before Joshua asked the Israelite to choose who to serve, he told them about about the god of the Amorite...and reminded them of what God has done for them.

*Don't make a decision from a point of ignorance, you might just be digging your own grave.*

But it's amazing how we do that every day. A common example is in the area of marriage. You jump into marriage with someone you know absolutely nothing about, just because you feel love as an emotion for that person. Then later come to find out (inside the marriage of course) that the person is totally different from what we thought! The problem was that you didn't know the person at all you just thought you did.

Before you choose who to lead you, know so much about that person. Do a research, find out something you don't know before you commit yourself to him/her.

As we prepare for the elections, I'll need everyone of us to understand that the choice we make today will not just live with us for four years but for the rest of our lives as Nigerians. The error we make today may take a life time to correct. So don't sell your live (choice) in exchange for money. Don't be fooled and blinded by what you have been given, it will disappear before you even know it.

Make the right choice, not just for yourself. Make a choice today that will speak in thousands of years to come.

*The choice you fail to make will remains unmade!*
